Immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of the rainforest.
Your journey begins at Bengoh Dam jetty by boat, where the jungle landscape starts to unfold. Along the way, you will follow a forest trail to Curtain and Susung Waterfall, then enjoy a traditional lunch prepared in bamboo over the fire.
From there, the boat carries you further into the range to a Bidayuh village, where life moves communally among traditional wooden homes. As the afternoon softens, your guide leads you along farmland and forest paths, crossing a suspended bridge to reach the homestead, a secluded rainforest retreat set beside the river. Here, your room offers comfort, calm and protection from insects, allowing you to rest within the surrounding forest.
As evening falls, dinner is served overlooking the river. Later, we gather by the fire to share stories before stepping into the forest on a guided night walk beneath the stars. After dark, the rainforest reveals another side of itself, alive with the movement and sound of insects, frogs and reptiles along the path.
During your stay, you may also follow the red river on a gentle guided walk, passing traditional foraging and hunting shelters before arriving at the red lagoon. Back at the homestead, the river invites you to swim, or you may choose from a selection of activities including kayaking, bamboo rafting and river fishing. Guests are also invited to plant a young tree sapling, supporting and protecting the riverbanks.
Choose between a 2 day 1 night (2D1N) stay, or a more spacious 3 day 2 nights (3D2N) experience.
